MEOW MOUSSE

CATS: Are meat eaters, plain and simple. They have to have protein from meat for a strong heart, good vision and a healthy reproductive system. Cooked beef, chicken, turkey, and lean deli meats are a great way to give them that. Yes, Meow Mousse contains other ingredients, but eaten occasionally such simple recipes are a treat and your purry-friend will love it.

200g chicken liver

1 tbsp. unsalted butter

3 tbsp. cream cheese

1 tbsp. chopped parsley

Dice the chicken liver then combine with the butter in a frying pan over moderate heat.

Sauté until cooked (it turns grey).

Remove from heat and cool slightly.

Place the liver mix, cream cheese and parsley in a blender and blend until smooth (scraping down the sides occasionally).

Using a spatula, scrape the mousse into single portion containers and leave to set in the refrigerator.

This will keep in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
